Section 19(1) in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Act, 1994
(1)The University shall have the following faculties, namely:-(i)Sanskrit literature;(ii)Sanskrit grammar;(iii)Indian Metaphysics;(iv)Indian Logic;(v)Other Sanskrit Studies;(vi)Indology;(vii)Indian languages;(viii)Foreign languages; and(ix)Arts and Social Sciences:Provided that it shall not be necessary to have all the faculties at the incorporation of the University.
