Section 31(1) in The Orissa Merged Territories (Village Offices Abolition) Rules, 1963
(1)The amount shown in the final Assessment Roll as recoverable from the solatium towards dues payable to State Government by the Village Officer or the amount of solatium payable to him whichever is less, shall be paid by the Sub-Divisional Officer to the appropriate authority by suitable adjustment of accounts.
