Section 489(1) in The Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957
(1)The Central [Government] [Substituted by Delhi Act 12 of 2011, section 2(b), "Central Government" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)] may give [a Corporation] [Substituted by Delhi Act 12 of 2011, section 2(a), "for the Corporation" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)] all such directions as it considers necessary in respect of subjects, curricula, text books, standards and methods of teaching in primary schools vested in [a Corporation] [Substituted by Delhi Act 12 of 2011, section 2(a), "for the Corporation" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)] or maintained wholly or partly by grants paid out of the Municipal Fund and in respect of such other matters as that Government considers necessary and [a Corporation] [Substituted by Delhi Act 12 of 2011, section 2(a), "for the Corporation" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)] shall comply with all such directions.
