(b)
(i)When the registration certificate is amended under sub-clause (i) of clause (a) in pursuance of any of the events specified in clause (a) or clause (b) or clause (c) of Section 48, such amendment shall take effect from the date such event has taken place and in all other cases falling under the said sub-clause the amendment shall take effect from the date of application. An amendment made under sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) shall take effect from the date of order for making such amendment.
(ii)Where any application for amendment, other than the amendment requested for in pursuance of any event specified in Section 48 is not rejected or the registration certificate is not amended within the time specified in sub-clause (i) of clause (a), the dealer shall be entitled to have the registration certificate amended in accordance with his application from the date of application for amendment and the Commissioner shall amend the certificate accordingly.
