8. Procedure for direct recruitment.
(1)The number of vacancies in the post of Statistical Investigator and Primary Investigator required to be filled up through direct recruitment shall be filled up by the Director.(2)The Director or any other authority as may be decided by the Government shall conduct the competitive examination in the manner specified in Schedule-I.(3)The Director or any other authority as may be decided by the Government shall prepare a list of candidates arranged in order of merit which shall be equal to the number of vacancies determined under Rule 6.(4)Appointment orders in respect of each grade shall be issued by the appointing authority out of the respective lists and in the older in which the names appear in them.
