5. Source of recruitment.
- Recruitment to the various categories of posts in the service shall be made from the following sources :| (1) | Director of Education (Secondary), Director ofEducation (Basic), Uttar Pradesh, Director, State Council ofEducational Research and Training, Uttar Pradesh, Director AdultEducation, Uttar Pradesh and Director, Urdu and OrientalLanguages, Uttar Pradesh. | By promotion through the Selection Committeefrom amongst substantively appointed additional Directorsmentioned at serial Numbers 6 to 12 of the Appendix I who havecompleted three years Service as such, on the first day of theyear of recruitment. | |
| (2) | Additional Director of Education (Secondary),Additional Director of Education (Basic), Additional Director ofEducation (Correspondence Course), Additional Director ofEducation (Non-Formal Education), Additional Director ofEducation (Vocational Education), Additional Director ofEducation (Hills) and Additional Director of Education (WomenEducation). | By promotion through the Selection Committeefrom amongst persons who are substantively appointed to the postsmentioned at serial Numbers 13 to 16 of the Appendix I and whohave completed five years service, as such on the first day ofthe year of recruitment. | |
| (3) | Joint Director of Education (Finance, Training,Women and Basic Education). | By promotion through the Selection Committeefrom amongst persons who are substantively appointed to the postsmentioned at serial numbers 18 to 23 of the Appendix I and whohave completed five years service, as such, on the first day ofthe year of recruitment. | |
