12. Chapter not to apply to marriages of Nambudri women.
- Nothing contained in this Chapter shall apply to the marriage of any Nambudri woman following the Marumakkattayam law of inheritance.[Chapter III] [The Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act, 1956 (Central Act 32 of 1956) has by virtue of section 5(b) thereof an overriding effect over any other law in force immediately before the commencement of that Act in so far as it is inconsistent with any of the provisions contained in that Act.] Maintenance and Guardianship
