DR. P. VENUGOPAL (TIRUVALLUR): Sir, I want to raise an important issue regarding an article published in the website of Sri Lankan Defence Ministry.
The hon. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has been writing letters to the Prime Minister on the repeated attacks on our fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy. She has been urging that retrieval of Katchatheevu is the lasting solution.
A private individual in Sri Lanka has written an article which is derogatory to our hon. Chief Minister. What is worse is that this article has been posted on the official website of Sri Lankan Defence Ministry. We strongly condemn this and urge the Government of India to take immediate action on this as this infringes upon the sovereignty of our country.
