(1)If the Government, after consultation with the State Fish Seed Centre, is of opinion that it is necessary or expedient to regulate the quality of fish seed of any kind or variety to be sold for purposes of fish seed rearing or fish culture, it may, by notification declare such kind or variety to be a notified kind or variety for the purposes of this Act and may notifY different kinds or varieties for different areas.
