Section 62(1) in Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016
(1)The term of every authority constituted under this Act shall commence on 1st September and shall be of five years from the said date and the term of the members of every authority shall expire on the expiry of the said period of five years, irrespective of the date on which a member has entered upon his office.
