This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order of grant of sanction dated 01.09.2020 passed by opposite party No.4 vide order No.651/2-42, Faizabad by which for initiating criminal prosecution has been ordered against the petitioner relating Case Crime No.1001 of 2014 registered at Police Station Kotwali City, District Faizabad, under Sections 175/201 I.P.C. and Sections 13(1)(d) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, later on amended charge sheet was filed under Section 409 I.P.C. along with Sections 175/201 I.P.C. by Investigating Officer against the petitioner, along with the further prayer not to arrest and harass the petitioner in pursuance of aforesaid sanction order dated 01.09.2020.

It appears that by efflux of time, the instant writ petition has become infructuous.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

However, it is open for the petitioner to move an appropriate application within two months from today, if the matter survives.

It is made clear that if any consequential proceedings are initiated in pursuance of the impugned FIR, the parties are at liberty to take recourse to law.
