9. Right of Nambudri male to marry in his community.
- Notwithstanding any custom or usage to the contrary, every major male shall, subject to the provisions of section 5 of the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Marumakkattayam Act, 1932, [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act XXII of 1933) and any other law for the time being in force, be at liberty to marry in his own community.
