Having regard to the peculiar facts explained by the appellant because of which the appellant could not file written statement, we are of the opinion, in the interest of justice, one more opportunity be given to file the written statement. We are also informed that written statement had already been filed before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi. This prayer is, however, allowed subject to payment of Rs. 1 lakh as costs. While issuing notice on 27th August, 2014, the appellant was directed to deposit the cost of Rs. 1 lakh with the Registry of this Court. Learned counsel for the appellant states that he has already deposited the cost on 30th August, 2014. The cost of Rs. 1 lakh shall be released in favour of the respondent.
The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
