Section 221 in Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 2007
221. Duty of Municipality in respect of solid wastes management and handling.
- Subject to the Provisions of section 10, the Municipality shall, within the municipal area, be responsible for implementation of the rules made by the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986,() to regulate the management and handling of municipal solid wastes and for development of any infrastructure for collection, storage, transportation, processing and disposal of such solid wastes.
