Section 33(1) in Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University Act, 2016
(1)The Academic Senate may, on the recommendation of not less than two thirds of the members of the Executive Council, and by the votes of a majority of the total membership of the Academic Senate of whom two thirds of the members of the Academic Senate present and voting in support of the motion, remove the name of any person from the register of graduates and remove any person from the membership of any Authority of the University if he has been convicted by a court of law of what in the opinion of the Academic Senate is an offence involving moral turpitude or if he has been guilty of scandalous conduct, and for the same reasons may withdraw any degree or diploma conferred on him or granted to him by the University.
