(2)In making bye-laws under sub-section (1) the [Panchayat or Gram Sabha] [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 3 of 2001 (w.e.f. 26-1-2001).] may direct that a breach thereof shall be punishable with a fine which may extend to two hundred fifty rupees and in the case of the continuing breach with a further fine which may extend to five rupees for every day during which the breach continues after the first conviction.
