Section 11(1) in Delhi Prisons (Inspection, Meetings and Duties of Officers) Rules, 1988
(1)The Superintendent shall visit the jail at least once on .every working day and on Sundays and holidays also whenever special circumstances render it desirable that he should do so, if, from any cause, the Superintendent is prevented from or unable to visit the jail on any day on which he is by this rule, required so to do, he shall record the fact and cause of his absence in his journal which shall be submitted to the Deputy Inspector-General of Prisons.
