- Prisoners may, on the days they are exempt from labour, be either locked up in their wards, or, if the weather is favourable, be allowed to sit in file in the yards and take walking exercise in groups for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon or in lieu of this, they may be allowed to take part in the sports and games.
