Section 4(1) in Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997
(1)Subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed, the State Government may appoint an Officer not below the rank of a Group 'A' Senior Scale to be Deputy Commissioner for Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments for one or more districts. The Deputy Commissioner shall subject to the authority of the Commissioner have powers of general superintendence and control for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act in respect of all Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments in his Jurisdiction.
