9B. [ Appointment of fresh panchayat. [Inserted by Bengal Act 1 of 1886.]
- On the expiry of the term for which the members of a panchayat were appointed, the [District Magistrate] shall appoint a new panchayat in the manner prescribed in section 3, the outgoing panchayat continuing to exercise all the functions of a panchayat until such new panchayat has been appointed.]
