Section 17(4) in The Assam Agricultural Farming Corporation Rules, 1973
(4)If outgoing Chairman is himself a candidate for the office of the Chairman any other State Government nominee of the Board who is not a candidate shall be elected by the Board to preside over the meeting for the purpose of election of the Chairman.
