Section 109(1) in The Indian Post Office Rules, 1933
(1)The sender of a postal article intended to be transmitted by post as value-payable article shall write clearly on the face of the article itself-(a)in the upper left-hand corner, the letters "V.P." followed by an entry, in figures and words, of the amount for remittance to himself, and(b)in the lower left-hand corner his own name and full address.
