Section 3(2)(b) in The Punjab Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules, 2012

(b)Notwithstanding any thing contained in rule 4, its acknowledgment in Form 'B' to be given to the applicant or his authorized representative in case of delivery by hand, but if sent by post, the acknowledgment shall also specify the registration number of the application.
