Section 18(2) in The State Bank Of India Act, 1955
(2)[All directions shall be given by the Central Government] [ Substituted by Act 38 of 1959, Section 64 and Sch.III, for " either by itself" (w.e.f. 10-9-1959).] and, if any question arises whether a direction relates to a matter of policy involving public interest, the decision of the Central Government thereon shall be final.
