(2)Every Nagar Panchayat shall be a body corporate by the name of "The ................... Nagar Panchayat" and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold or dispose of properties and may by the said name, sue and be sued.
