Section 108(7) in The Central Reserve Police Force Rules, 1955
(7)On promotion to a superior post in the Force, the officiating service in that post or an equivalent post previously rendered may be allowed to count towards the probationary period at the discretion of the controlling authority.Note .- "Controlling authority" for the purpose of this rule will be the Inspector-General of Police, Central Reserve Police.
