Section 8A(1) in The Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955
(1)The licensing authority may accept, from any person who has committed or is reasonably suspected of having committed an offence against this Act or the rules made thereunder or the condition and restriction upon or subject to which any licence has been granted under this Act may be specified by rules by way of compensation of such offence a sum of money,-(i)not exceeding one thousand rupees in case of permanent theatre; and(ii)not exceeding six hundred rupees in the case of touring theatre.
