Section 11(1) in Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959
(1)No person shall be qualified for election as Mayor -(a)if he is an elector in the City;(b)if he is not attained the age of 30 years;(c)if he is disqualified under sub-section (1) of Section 25 for election as a Corporator [* * *] [Omitted by U.P. Act 12 of 1977.]; or(d)if he was defeated at the poll at an election to any seat of [* * *] [Omitted by U.P. Act 12 of 1977.] Corporator unless at least six months have elapsed since the date of declaration of the result of that election.
