(4)Save as otherwise provided in [sub-sections (1), (2), (2A), [(2B)] [Substituted by Act 29 of 1969 w.e.f. 22.12.1969.] and (3)], any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule, order or notification thereunder, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to [[five thousand] [Substituted by Act 30 of 1994 w.e.f. 3.10.1994.] rupees].
