Section 10(1)(b) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000

(b)nominated members
(ix)one eminent scientist having special knowledge and practical experience in agricultural research, teaching and extension education, to be nominated by the Chancellor,
(x)one representative of agro-industries, to be nominated by the Chancellor,
(xi)one progressive farmer from the area under the jurisdiction of the University to be nominated by the State Government,
(xii)one woman social worker, to be nominated by the State Government, and
(xiii)one representative of the Indian Council for Agricultural Research, to be nominated by that Council;
