Section 16(2)(i) in Marble Policy, 2002

(i)The sides of the open cast pit shall be kept benched as per provisions of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 and the other provisions in these regulations relating to safety of mines and the persons employed therein shall also be complied with.
