/28/DP/ACT-AUDIT/95. - Whereas the draft of the Goa Panchayats (Accounts, Audit and Custody of Funds) Rules, 1995, was published as required by sub-section (1) of section 240 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Goa Act 14 of 1994), at pages 235 to 238 of the Official Gazette, Series I No. 23, dated 7-9-1995 under Notification No. 17/28/DP/ACT-Audit/95, dated 11-8-95 of the Department of Community Development and Panchayats, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby before the expiry of thirty days from the date of publication of the said Notification in the Official Gazette;And Whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on 7th September, 1995;And Whereas, vide subsequent Corrigendum/Notification No. 17/28/DP/ACT-AUDIT/95, dated 4th October, 1996, of the Department of Panchayat Raj and Community Development, published at pages 387 to 392 of the Official Gazette, Series I No. 32, dated 7-11-1996, the forms prescribed under the said Rules, 1995 and which were not published alongwith the Rules, 1995, for objections/suggestions, were published inviting objections/suggestions thereto from all persons likely to be affected thereby before the expiry of fifteen days from the date of publication of the said Corrigendum/Notification in the Official Gazette;And Whereas, the said Gazette was made available, to the public on 7th November, 1996;And Whereas, no objections/suggestions have been received from the public on the said draft Rules and Forms by the Government.Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 184 and 187 read with sub-section (1) of section 240 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Act 14 of 1994), and in supersession of the Goa, Daman and Diu Village Panchayat (Accounts and Audit and Custody of Funds) Rules, 1963, the Government of Goa hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
