(a)All rain-gauges and measure glasses etc. required at rain-gauge stations in India are supplied by the Mathematical Instruments Office, Calcutta; the responsibility for their accuracy rests, however, with the Meteorological Department who tests them before they are issued. Price list of rain-gauges, etc., rules and regulations and indent forms are obtainable from the Mathematical Instruments Office, Calcutta.
