655. Power of Inspector-General to transfer prisoners.
- The authority of the State Government or subject to its orders and control the Inspector- General to order the transfer from one jail to another within the State of any person sentenced to imprisonment or transportation or in default of giving security to keep the peace or maintain good behaviour, has been committed to or is detained in jail, is contained in section 29, Act III of 1900 as amended by Act I of 1903.
