The petitioner was an aspirant for the post of
Assistant Teacher for the Upper-Primary post as Para-
Teacher. The selection process has commenced in 2016.
Subsequently, the selection process was subjected to
various challenges. The challenge is still pending before
a co-ordinate Bench.
Mr. Kanak Kiran Bandyopadhyay, learned counsel
led by Dr. Sutanu Kumar Patra, learned Counsel,
appear for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 submits that
until the issue is decided which is pending before the co-ordinate Bench, the Commission shall not proceed any further with the self-same selection process.
Mr. Bandyopadhyay prays for an extension of time to file affidavit-in-opposition which extended on August 10, 2023.
2Affidavit-in-opposition shall be filed on or before December 5, 2023.
Affidavit-in-reply, if any, thereto shall be filed on or before December 20, 2023.
The writ petition shall appear under the heading "Hearing (Secondary)" in the Combined Monthly List of January, 2024.
Mr. K.M. Hossain, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the writ petition WPA 29181 of 2016 is pending before the co-ordinate Bench, as referred to above.
Mr. Suman Dey, learned State counsel, appears for the respondent no.1.
