Section 25(1) in The Vellore Institute of Technology Bangalore Act, 2012

(1)The Academic Council shall consist of the following, namely:-
(i) The Vice-Chancellor Chair Person
(ii) The Pro Vice Chancellor Member
(iii) The Registrar Secretary
(iv) Such other members as may be specified by-theStatutes.
