Section 16(1)(a) in The Assam Fixation of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1956

(a)that the area of land so settled, together with any other land held by him or any member of his family either as tenant or as owner shall not exceed in the aggregate the limit fixed under Section 4 of this Act ; and
