Section 35(1) in Assam Panchayat (Constitution) Rules, 1995
(1)As soon as the voter enters the polling station, the Presiding Officer or the Polling Officer authorised by him in this behalf, shall check the voter's name and other particulars with the relevant entry in the electoral Roll and call out the serial number, name and other particulars of the votes.
