Section 4(1) in The Tamil Nadu Abolition of Posts of Part-Time Village Officers Act, 1981
(1)Subject to the provisions of sub-section (2) and the rules made under section 6, the competent authority may appoint a person as Village Administrative Officer for one or more revenue villages.
