Section 61(3) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(3)Notwithstanding anything contained in section 16 or 44, the receipt by any person of any honorarium, sumptuary allowance or meeting allowance as aforesaid shall not disqualify him from becoming, or continuing as a Councilor.
