Section 2(e) in Punjab Public Distribution System (Licensing and Control) Order, 2003
(e)"Below Poverty Line Families" means those families those who have been identified by the Rural Development and Panchayats Department and Local Govt Department for issue of foodgrains at specially subsidized rates adopting the estimates of poverty given by the Central Government.
