(vi)Relative seniority of employees in an intermediate rank belonging todifferent seniority units appearing for a selection in higher rank shall bedetermined by the total length of continuous service in the same orequivalent rank irrespective of the date of confirmation of an employee.Only non-fortuitous service is to be taken into account for the purpose;
