(4)Officers posted to the Criminal Investigation Department shall have a minimum tenure of three years and a maximum of five years,except that officers with proven ability in investigation of cases shall be considered for extended tenure by the Police Establishment Board on proposal to this effect being submitted by the Criminal Investigation Department.
