(4)When a vacancy occurs, or is likely to occur, in the office of the Vice-Chancellor by reason of leave or any cause other than the expiry of the term, the Registrar shall report the fact forthwith to the Board, and such vacancy shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1).
