In case of any defect in Taxmeter/Franking Machine such as breaking or tampering of the seals or discrepancy in the meter readings, the authorized user shall immediately stop using the machine and bring the matter of defect to the notice of the Collector of the district and the Secretary, Registration Department who shall take necessary steps for the repair of the machine as soon as possible.
