His father (husband of deceased) is a blind man and used to reside at his village Kanpur, Besta District Badaiu U.P. His mother used to work as sweeper in Red Cross Hospital, Seema Puri and other co-accused Data Ram used to reside in another Jhuggi situated in Kallender colony alongwith two sons namely Jhabbar Singh and Satpal. Her mother and his brother Jhamman used to leave their house at about 8.00 am for their respective offices. His mother (deceased Urmila) used to return at 2.00pm and thereafter she used to go to the Jhuggi of accused Data Ram daily at about 7/8.00pm. His mother and co-accused Data Ram use to take liquor together. Her mother also used to take dinner with him and also used to sleep with him, due to this reason both sons of Data Ram i.e Satpal and Jhabbar Singh used to feel annoyed. His brother Jhamman used to work as driver and he used to return at about 9/10.00pm. He further stated that when Urmila was not found available in her house he used to rebuke her during the initial period but subsequently he stopped raising objection. Accused Satpal and Jhabbar Singh both sons of co-accused Data Ram also raised objection on account of sharing of drinks and bed by her deceased mother with co-accused Data Ram. Some times Jhabbar Singh and accused Satpal used to remove deceased Urmila from their Jhuggi, in the street, whenever she happened to be under the influence of liquor, on some occasions he and his brother used to brought her back to her house from the street and on some occasions she continued to be lying in the street and in the morning she used to return to her jhuggi. On 4.12.99 deceased Urmila had gone to the jhuggi of Data Ram and one Ved Pal was also present there. All the three persons took liquor together, on that day deceased Urmila did not return to her house during the whole night. Next day at about 6.00 am it was heard that deceased Urmila lying dead near the temple. He and his brother Jhamman reached there and found her mother lying dead having knife injuries on her chin. Someone informed the police and police reached at the spot."
