Section 5 in Andhra Pradesh Elementary Teacher Training Institutions/District Institutes of Education and Training (Regulation of Admissions into Diploma in Education course through Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2007
5. Methods of Admission.
- The general guidelines for the admission of candidates into the Elementary Teacher Education Institutions/District Institutes of Education and Training offering Diploma in Education (D.Ed) course shall be as follows:(i)The admissions shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the rank assigned in the DIET CET.(ii)Number of candidates to be admitted shall not exceed the intake sanctioned to each college by the N.C.T.E. from time to time.(iii)The admissions into all Government / Private un-aided Elementary Teacher Training Institutions shall be made through a single widow system in the order of merit on the basis of rank assigned in DIET CET.
