418. Hospital, nursing home, clinic, etc., not to be established without permission.
(1)No person shall, without the previous permission in writing of the Municipal Commissioner or otherwise than in conformity with the conditions, if any, of such permission, use any premises in Kolkata for the propose of a hospital, nursing home, clinic, polyclinic, diagnostic laboratory or such other institutional medical facility as may be specified by the Mayor-in-Council from time to time.(2)The Municipal Commissioner may refuse to give such permission if he is of the opinion that the proposed premises is not suitable for the purpose as aforesaid in view of criteria of hygiene and environmental sanitation.
