(1B)Any agreement entered into by a municipal council, farming out the collection of such fees for a period, not exceeding three years, commencing on or after the 1st April 1941, shall be valid, notwithstanding that such agreement was entered into before the commencement of the Madras District Municipalities and Local Boards (Amendment) Act, 1941 (Madras Act XII of 1941).] [Sub-section (1A) and (1B) were inserted by section 2(ii) of the Tamil Nadu Re-enacting (No. II) Act, 1948 (Tamil Nadu Act VIII of 1948).]
