Section 8 in THE CONSTITUTION (NINETY-NINTH AMENDMENT) ACT, 2014
8. Amendment of Article 224.-
In Article 224 of the Constitution,--(a)in clause (1), for the words "the President may appoint", the words "the President may, in consultation with the National Judicial Appointments Commission, appoint" shall be substituted;(b)in clause (2), for the words "the President may appoint", the words "the President may, in consultation with the National Judicial Appointments Commission, appoint" shall be substituted.Declared unconstitutional by Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Assn. v.
